EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Countryman Songo announces return in new video

Multimedia journalist, Patrick Osei Agyemang, popularly known in media circles as Countryman Songo, is due for a comeback next Monday, adomonline.com can confirm.
Songo who has been off air for some time now has been preparing for his return in the last few days and he has exclusively confirmed that he will be back on our television screens on Monday.

The award-winning journalist who hosts Ghana’s most-watched mid-day television show, “Fire 4 Fire” on Adom TV has been off air for what Management says is for “strategic reasons”.

Songo, a known critic of sports, particularly football, was off air when the recent scandal hit Ghana football.
Viewers have therefore been yearning for his views on the happenings, especially as he has, in the past, insisted that there is rot in the game that needs the state’s attention.
At a recent Presidential Press Meet at the Jubilee House, the tough-talking journalist was on record to have asked the president about his action on an existing government white paper of a commission of inquiry, the Dzamefe Commission” to which the president said he had “forgotten”.
Subsequent to that encounter, Songo has been expressing his disappointment in the president’s answer, insisting that the answer provided by the president spells doom for football in the country.
It is not clear what his position will be on the Anas’ Number 12 Expose but one thing is certain – viewers will enjoy an energized “Fire Man” who has been given a deserved rest.
Songo’s comeback means that his substitute, Kobby Stone, who has been doing a good job in his absence, will now concentrate on his other duties on radio.

According to her, men in the region are killing the women with their one round of sex-a situation she described as worrying. In an interview on Adom News Thursday, the Mankessim queenmother revealed that, many marriages are collapsing due to the men’s inability to satisfy their wives in bed. “Most of these women are committing adultery just to satisfy their sexual pleasures” she added. She however cited prostate cancer is a major contributory factor for the low sex drive in the men. This past week there was another one of those typically Ghanaian funeral stories in the news. The body of a chief who had died six years ago was still in the morgue as the family bickered over who should be designated as the "chief mourner". I was, as is usual with me, outraged. But the story did not attract much attention because we regularly leave dead bodies in the morgue for long periods to sort out the disputes that erupt after every death in this country. Our elaborate, expensive funerals and over-the-top dramatically carved caskets are well documented. In spite of the keen interest I have taken in trying to work out how funerals came to have such a hold on our society, there are some things that I still cannot understand after all these years. Fantasy coffins I have to keep on trying to find explanations.

I dreamt Amissah-Arthur’s death – Abronye DC

A former member of ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has revealed he dreamt about the death of former vice president, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur.
