I won’t contest if I were Mahama – Bagbin

Flagbearer hopeful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin is yet to come to terms why ex-President John Mahama wants to lead the party. He says he would not have contested the flagbearership post if he were Mr Mahama who suffered a humiliating defeat in 2016 general elections. According to him though the former President had money, influence and advantages of incumbency at his disposal, he lost miserably. Speaking on Asempa FM’s political talk show Ekosii Sen on Thursday, Mr. Bagbin wondered how ex-President Mahama’s handlers will convince Ghanaians to vote for him after that abysmal performance. “Mahama’s loss was a total knockout and the gap was so huge. I would have never come back if I were him because upon all his influence, losing means your time is up and so it was important that he gives opportunity to some others to also contest,” he said Mr Mahama on Thursday, 23 August 2018, officially conveyed his intention to r...

I will review free SHS policy if elected President – Mahama

Former President John Mahama has promised to review the Akufo-Addo government’s policy to / provide free Senior High School education if elected President in December 2020. The policy is ill-timed, he told party faithfuls at the Cape Coast North constituency in the Central region during a tour ahead of his party’s presidential primaries. The policy was launched less than nine months into the Akufo-Addo government in September 2017. The President remarked during the launch at West Africa Senior High School in Accra, “I was labeled a liar by my opponents, who went on to state that Free SHS could only be possible in 20 years time.” But former President Mahama has criticised the government observing, suggesting that the policy is struggling because government failed to assemble experts and stakeholders for a national conference on education to deliberate on the policy. The beggars at Kofi Annan’s funeral

Extracting monies from the whip cream of important dignatries at the funeral service of Kofi Annan was the pre-occupation of an organised pack of beggars. No they were not a handful. A disturbing horde that tailed and trailed anyone who looked dignified. If he was white, old and wore a smile – bingo. If he was Ghanaian with a tummy that made a good statement of economic status or a woman whose age is tamed by make-up – then fetch. And when it looked difficult to determine anything, some adopted a much simpler rule of standing by expensive automobiles – and wait. If the Finance Minister has targeted cars with engine capacities above 2.9 liters for more taxes, they targeted these same cars for more philanthropy. If anybody needed a sign of Ghana’s most ignored social crisis, it was pronouncedly manifest at the Accra International Conference Center where the funeral service for the son of the soil and former UN Secretary-General was being held. ...

Obinim, Obofour, Badu Kobi to die this year – Prophet Adom

Prophet Stephen Kwadwo Adom, the founder and leader of Zion Miracle Worship Center (ZMWC) has put several people including Shatta Wale, Afia Schwarzenegger, Nana Ama McBrown, Wendy Shay, Ebony’s brother and other politicians on a ‘prophetic death row’. The Prophet who seems to be embarking on a mission to gain popularity has given some alarming death predictions that should not be taken for granted. According to Prophet Stephen Kwadwo Adom, Nana Ama Mcbrown’s marriage to Maxwell Mensah will collapse soon and she will be a subject of ridicule in Ghana soon. He went on to prophesy that Rufftown Records’ artist, Wendy Shay will die and be buried in a nursing dress shortly if she is not careful. The same prophet also stated that Shatta Wale will die in a car crash by December if he doesn’t apologize to pastors in Ghana. But one prophecy that has got most people talking is the prophecy the man of God has given about the late Ebony Reigns’ family. The prophet revealed t...

Tax the church and incur the wrath of God’s – Methodist Bishop to govt

Government has been urged to rescind its plan to tax churches operating across the country. According to Rt. Rev Stephen Richard Bosomtwe Ayensu, any attempt to tax the offerings and tithes of churches will be like “touching the eye of God”. Men of God in the country are divided over the proposal put forward by the Commissioner of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Kofi Nti. He has promised to pay informants 25 per cent of a penalty against churches hiding under a fellowship to make money without paying taxes to the state. Kofi Nti’s decision has gotten the backing of President Akufo-Addo arguing that, churches have now moved into the realm of wealth creation and prosperity. Speaking at the 2018 Synod of the Global Evangelical Church in Accra Thursday, the President said churches were no more the charity institutions they used to be as they are now focusing into education and healthcare delivery among others, thus placing them in the tax ne Though some pa...

Oral sex is not a sin – Prophet Kumchacha

Prophet Kumchacha also known as Nicholas Osei, Founder and Leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries has said oral sex between married couples is not a sin. In his view, there is no where in the Bible which classifies oral sex especially between married couples as a sin. Speaking on Adom TV’s Badwam, the prophet backed his arguement with Bible scriptures taken from 1 Corinthians 7:5 and Proverbs 18:22 amongst other scriptures. “From Genesis to Revelations, there is nowhere in the Bible that talks about oral sex been bad. But God likes marriage, so if it is done with your wife then it is good. But if you are not married, then it is a sin, it is not good” he said. “If the married couples have agreed on it and they like it, then it is not bad” he noted. Kumchacha believes that oral sex is good even for pastors, as long as it is done between husband and wife. SOURCE: http://www.adomonline.com
