Bukom Banku arrested for assaulting Assemblyman

Bukom Banku, known for assaulting people at will, is in the custody of Jamestown police for yet another assault case

He has assaulted an Assemblyman named Zaid in his area

Inspite of his many arrests in the past, he has always walked free, making people wonder why the police give him a special treatment

Boxer, Brimah Kamoko, poplarly known as Bukom Banku is in police custody for assaulting an Assemblyman.

Bukom Banku is said to have assaulted the government official on Monday, during an Easter party in James Town.

This is not the first time the cruiserweight boxer has been arrested by the police for assault.

The name of the Assemblyman has been given as Zaid.
Zaid reported the incident to the James Town Police Station on Tuesday, leading to the arrest of Banku.

According to reports, Bukom Banku has been transferred to Central Police cells where he has already spent a night.

In November 2014, Bukom Banku and his 14-year old son allegedly assaulted one Richmond Armah, a 28-year-old footballer.

In March 2016, the Accra Central Police arrested and detained Braimah Kamoko, for allegedly assaulting his cousins.

The Public Relations Officer of the Accra Regional Police Command, ASP Afia Tengey confirmed the arrest of Bukom Banku to Graphic Online.

It appears Bukom Banku is above the law as he has been arrested severally for assault but nothing happens to him eventually.
