Anyidoho arrest: We’re not scared – Portuphy

The Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Kofi Portuphy, has said that the party is unperturbed by the arrest of the Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Koku Anyidoho.
“I’m sure they want to frighten and scare people. It is not right that we are in a press conference and then a police man arrives then they say they arresting the Deputy General Secretary of our party, how can they do that? It is not right but they cannot scare anybody, they should know” Mr Portuphy fumed.

Koku Anyidoho charged with treason

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service picked up Mr Anyidoho on Tuesday, 27 March, for inciting civilians to launch a coup d’etat against the Akufo-Addo government.

Mr Anyidoho was picked up at the Press Centre in Accra where he and several other opposition leaders belonging to the Progressive Forces, were holding a news conference, to condemn the government for signing a security cooperation deal with the United States of America.
Mr Portuphy who was with Mr Anyidoho when he was arrested added that they will cooperate with the police.
“We will go and listen to them, they said they want him. He works for us, don’t worry we will go,” he told pressmen.

According to her, men in the region are killing the women with their one round of sex-a situation she described as worrying. I dreamt Amissah-Arthur’s death – Abronye DC

A former member of ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has revealed he dreamt about the death of former vice president, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur. According to Kwame Baffoe popularly known as Abronye, around 3:am Friday dawn, he had a premonition that something wrong will happened to the former Veep. Boobs on display at Dipo Puberty Rites Festival

Personally, its been a while since i saw or heard about Female Puberty rites, Last i checked was while i was studying social studies in the Junior High School about some 20 Years Back, but to recently see pictures and videos of a festival celebrated in the central region with activities that allows teenage girls go naked in a gathering to dance in public really caught my attention and thought it wise to bring it to bare. Is this Primitive or its heritage? a question which has split opinions from the public. Some people seem excited about the images whiles some equally think this must stop. But what do you think?
